Safety & Security

“School security isn’t just about keeping intruders out of the building and off school grounds. It’s also about establishing the right culture.”
Students and staff of K-12 education are keenly aware of a variety of safety concerns related to schools. Intruder lockdown, fire and weather drills help to ensure a school is prepared for any potential threats. Learning becomes secondary when students and staff do not have a sense of being safe and secure. Creating K-12 buildings that help the occupants feel safe and secure continues to be a top priority for designers.
