Sense Of Community & Belonging

“Imagine the impact, especially in low socio-economic communities, of a school that excites curiosity, that invites you to enter and learn.”
For some students, school is an extension of their family through the various activities, clubs, and athletics they participate in. Other students may feel detached. Helping students to have a sense of belonging to a larger community is vitally important. This community should also extend to parents and family, creating a wraparound effect. Decisions made by school designers can have a direct impact on these connections.
